Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding

Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure
-
Assist with resident transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and safety protocols
-
Help with incontinent care, including changing bedpans and urinals
-
Provide oral hygiene and denture care

Assist with medication administration and treatment procedures

Participate in resident assessments and care planning

Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans

Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care

Promote a positive and respectful environment for residents, families, and staff
Requirements:

Currently certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Massachusetts
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents with moderate to heavy weights
-
Willingness to participate in facility education programs and support continuous quality improvement initiatives
