Sign-On Bonus: We are excited to announce a sign-on bonus of $8,500 for full-time positions.

Work Schedule: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of the duties and responsibilities associated with Sterile Processing Technicians at Levels I and II. This role involves performing various tasks as necessary to support departmental operations and setting a standard for excellence within the team.

Primary Duties:

• Receive, sort, clean, and decontaminate reusable instruments and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications; manually log all received items.
• Operate cleaning and decontamination equipment, including washers, reprocessors, cart washers, and pasteurizers.
• Inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and materials; prepare trays based on standardized lists and operate sterilizers while monitoring critical parameters.
• In the absence of the SPD Manager, may oversee departmental operations by organizing workflow, prioritizing tasks, and addressing customer requirements.
• Stay informed about medical instrument processing through ongoing education, participation in professional organizations, and involvement in hospital committees.
• Assist in training staff, conducting competency assessments, and may take on the role of charge person to manage department workflow and safety protocols.
• Engage in communication and collaboration with department personnel, OR staff, and management to ensure efficient operations and accurate documentation.
• Identify and troubleshoot daily operational challenges, utilizing available resources to support decision-making and problem resolution.

Essential Qualifications: Education:

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

Experience:

• A minimum of three years of experience in Sterile Processing is required.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Required: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).
• Candidates must possess the Certified Endoscopy Reprocessor (CER) certification upon hire or obtain it within one year of employment.
• Preferred: Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS).
