Butterfly Staffing is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a federal healthcare infrastructure project in Bedford, Massachusetts.
This role will oversee a complex modernization project within an active medical environment. The work includes phased construction, infrastructure upgrades, coordination across multiple trades, and careful sequencing around ongoing facility operations.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project execution, working closely with field leadership, subcontractors, quality control, safety personnel, design teams, and government representatives to keep the project moving safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project from preconstruction through completion and closeout
- Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, designers, and government representatives
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation
- Coordinate phased construction activities within an occupied healthcare environment
- Manage infrastructure-related scopes including electrical, mechanical, low-voltage, communications, and related building systems
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues affecting schedule, cost, quality, or sequencing
- Ensure compliance with federal contract requirements, plans, specifications, and project procedures
- Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, inspections, testing, and turnover activities
- Support commissioning, punch list, and project closeout
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Project Manager experience on commercial or federal construction projects
- Successful completion of at least one comparable project as Project Manager
- Experience managing projects valued at $7M+ strongly preferred
- Federal construction experience with VA, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, or another federal agency preferred
- Experience with healthcare, occupied facility, infrastructure, or phased renovation projects strongly preferred
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and complex building systems
- Strong understanding of federal project documentation, scheduling, subcontractor management, and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
