Support a fifth-grade student as a Virtual Special Education Teacher in a dynamic contract opportunity. In this unique role, you will deliver specially designed instruction remotely on a one-to-one basis for a male student requiring short-term support. The assignment offers flexibility in scheduling and is expected to run for a few weeks, or until an out-of-district placement is finalized, with the possibility of adjustment based on the student’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized virtual instruction to a designated fifth-grade student, focusing on academic, behavioral, and emotional growth.
- Design and implement tailored lessons and interventions to address IEP goals.
- Work collaboratively with caregivers, service providers, and school staff to ensure smooth communication and continuity of services.
- Schedule and deliver two hours of direct service per week, with additional indirect time available for planning and consultation.
- Maintain documentation and provide timely updates regarding student progress.
- Adapt services and strategies as student circumstances evolve.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Special Education Teaching.
- Experience delivering instruction in a virtual/online setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and specially designed instruction.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and adapt to changing needs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
