Role Description Residential Assistants provide direct care and support to children and youth living in the on-campus residential program in Tilton, NH. This full-time, on-site role includes supervising daily routines, assisting with personal care and life skills, and supporting therapeutic and recreational activities. Residential Assistants help implement individualized care plans, maintain a safe and structured environment, and use positive behavior support strategies. They collaborate with educational, clinical, and residential staff, document observations and incidents, and communicate clearly with team members. The role also involves modeling healthy boundaries, fostering independence, and promoting a supportive, inclusive community for all residents.\n

  • Ability to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care and support to children and youth with diverse needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting, professional relationships.

  • Capacity to maintain safety, structure, and consistency in a residential setting, including crisis prevention and de-escalation.
  • \n

  • Organizational and documentation skills, including accurate record-keeping and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • \n

  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and follow individualized treatment or care plans.
  • \n

  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in Tilton, NH, including possible evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in human services, psychology, social work, education, or related field preferred.
  • \n

  • Prior experience in residential care, special education, mental health, or youth services is beneficial but not required.
  • \n
