Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n
\n
\no Setting up and operating a toolroom lathe\n
\no Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings\n
\no Using conversational controls and precision measurement tools\n
\no Performing machining operations\n
\no Conducting quality checks\n
\no Utilizing precision measurement devices\n
\no Monitoring machine operations\n
\no Plan and perform rough and finish machining\n
\no You will Perform setups independently.\n
\no Operate and understand advanced machine tools.\n
\no Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate.\n
\n
\nCANDIDATE PROFILE\n
\n
\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\n
\n
\n• Candidate must be able to work over 8 hours in a shift\n
\n• Crane and hoisting experience a plus\n
\n• You must be able to read blueprints/geometric tolerances.\n
\n• Instrumentation /Gaging skills required. Must be familiar with machinist tools and hand tools (micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, dial bore gage).\n
\n• Must be open to coaching and training with a willingness to learn all machines within a cell.\n
\n• Some physical effort (avg. 25 lbs).\n
\n• US Citizenship is required for DOD requirements.\n
\n
\nEducation & Experience\n
\n
\n• Must have HS diploma or GED equivalent; concentration in machining would be a plus.\n
\n• Minimum of three years experience required\n
\n
