Job Description

Day shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Step into a day where precision meets purpose

When your shift begins, you power up a ProtoTRAK CNC mill and review a fresh set of aerospace prints. You choose the right tooling and fixtures, dial in the workholding, and program the ProtoTRAK control to bring a complex geometry to life. Throughout the day, you collaborate with engineers and quality teammates, double-check tolerances with micrometers and gauges, and fine-tune offsets to deliver parts that exceed expectations for aerospace, defense, and commercial programs.

What you’ll do

  • Set up and operate ProtoTRAK CNC milling machines for prototype and short-run work.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and GD&T.
  • Program, edit, and troubleshoot ProtoTRAK controls to optimize cycle times and quality.
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding to match each operation.
  • Machine precision components to tight tolerances while upholding rigorous quality standards.
  • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections with micrometers, calipers, height and bore gauges, and related metrology tools.
  • Apply offsets and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy throughout the run.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures and quality management requirements.
  • Partner with engineers, supervisors, operators, and quality personnel to resolve machining or quality issues and improve processes.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience running ProtoTRAK CNC milling machines (preferred).
  • Proficiency programming and editing ProtoTRAK controls.
  • Fluency in reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T.
  • Solid grasp of machining fundamentals, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
  • Skilled with precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
  • Track record of holding tight tolerances and producing consistently high-quality parts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute within a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience machining components for aerospace or defense applications.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Background in prototype and short-run production.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • 100% Health Insurance
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Stable, growing company with opportunities for advancement
  • Clean, modern machining environment
  • Supportive team focused on quality and continuous improvement

If you’re excited to see your craftsmanship fly in the real world and want to grow with a forward-moving team, we’d love to meet you.
