At Progressive Manufacturing in Newport, New Hampshire, we’re expanding. We build modern gas fireplaces and precision sheet metal products—and we have immediate first-shift openings for experienced production welders ready to make an impact.
Imagine This
You open a complex weldment drawing, map your sequence, and run MIG, TIG, or laser welds across Mild Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, and Aluminized steel. Each pass is steady. Each measurement matches the print. You log your quality checks and move to the next subassembly, shifting gears smoothly when priorities change—and pitching in with occasional overtime when it helps the team win the day.
What You’ll Take On
- Welding individual components and complete weldments using MIG, TIG, and laser processes
- Interpreting and executing from drawings for basic to complex components and subassemblies
- Documenting quality control results and maintaining accuracy throughout production
- Staying adaptable to changing assignments and schedules as needed

- Visual alertness, precise hand coordination, and strong attention to detail

Role & Rewards

- Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
