Our client, a well-established law firm, is looking for an Associate Attorney to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is well suited for an attorney with civil litigation experience who wants meaningful courtroom exposure, direct client contact, and the opportunity to take ownership of active matters. You will work alongside experienced attorneys in a supportive setting while building practical experience across multiple phases of litigation.


Location: Boston, MA

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience) + bonuses + amazing benefits

Schedule: In Person first 90 days, then hybrid 1-2 days remote a week


Responsibilities:

  • Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy and developments.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
  • Handle additional legal responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a law firm civil litigation environment.
  • Must have excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Prior deposition, mediation, and trial experience is also preferred.
  • Massachusetts Bar admission is required, and admissions to other New England states are a plus.
  • Excellent people skills – ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate concisely, accurately, and professionally with Firm clients, attorneys, and other legal staff.
  • Comfortable in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently to resolve issues.
  • Flexibility to manage additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
