RN Clinical Educator needed to join a healthcare family in Northern Vermont. Qualified Candidates must have an associate's degree in nursing; a bachelor's degree in nursing is desired. Preference is 1+ years of educator nursing experience. Clinical nursing experience in the acute care hospital setting with experience in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, ER, or Peri-Operative experiences is also preferred.

Responsibilities of the Nurse Educator:
As a member of the Nursing Leadership team, and under the direction of the manager of nursing education, assumes lead role in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of employee education and training. Acts as a clinical resource, teacher, and facilitator for staff nurses, LNAs, and PCA’s regarding patient care and clinical practice. Collaborates with nurse leaders and clinical staff to advance nursing competency and help ensure quality bedside care. Collaborates with nursing leaders to develop and implement nursing care audits, QI, training programs, and special projects. Serves as a role model, promoting evidence-based practice.
Requirements of the RN Educator:
- Serves as a professional resource and mentor.
- Provides orientation programs for all nursing programs.
- Nursing Leader who serves as a participant, contributor and leader for nursing practice work groups, projects and committees.
- Utilizes adult learning theory and concepts, and demonstrates outcome-based education.
- Maintains flexibility with regard to hours in order to provide support to all clinical staff.
- Works closely with IT and Informatics team to support ongoing education.
- Works closely with Infection Prevention to support ongoing education relating to Personal Protective Equipment and IP Practices.
