Embark on an impactful contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students across various educational settings near the Charlestown, NH area. This full-time position spans from September 2026 through June 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 35-37.5 hours each week.
You’ll serve as a traveling educator, bringing your expertise and passion for special education to a diverse array of learners. Your role will involve delivering services to students in multiple schools—including public, private, and charter institutions—enhancing inclusivity and educational access for all.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility) for the state of New Hampshire
- Prior experience teaching special education, including work across different grade levels
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with families
- Flexibility and adaptability to travel between multiple schools as assigned
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to unique student needs
- Provide direct instruction, interventions, and supports in accordance with best practices
- Collaborate with general education teachers and school teams to promote inclusive education
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing evaluation of student progress
- Adapt teaching strategies for a variety of educational settings, supporting both small groups and one-on-one instruction
