Step into a rewarding contract position supporting student communication needs in a dynamic educational environment near North Adams, MA. As a valued Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you’ll work full time from 8:25am to 3:10pm, providing essential services for a diverse caseload of students ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. Exact caseload will be confirmed soon, with an anticipated range of 30-40 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license and credentials appropriate for school-based practice
- Experience in, or passion for, working with children and adolescents ages Pre-K through 12
- Solid skills in implementing therapy plans designed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Excellent communication, organization, and recordkeeping abilities
- Adaptability and eagerness to collaborate with teachers and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy sessions as directed by supervising SLP
- Maintain accurate session notes and participate in progress monitoring
- Support students in developing critical communication skills for academic and social success
- Communicate regularly with staff, therapists, and caregivers to optimize outcomes
- Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and therapy activities
