What you'll bring:
- A high school diploma (no further para certifications or college degrees required)
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students and staff, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Reliable attendance and punctuality aligning with school hours
- Willingness to provide three completed references—including your most recent manager—prior to the interview process
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Offering targeted support to students in 1:1 or classroom-based scenarios, depending on assignment
- Assisting classroom teachers with instruction, behavior management, and organization
- Supporting students in achieving educational and social goals within structured routines
- Encouraging student engagement, reinforcing lessons, and assisting with accommodations as needed
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism within the school community
You'll enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule totaling 32.5 hours weekly—either from 7:10 am to 2:10 pm (middle school) or 7:30 am to 2:30 pm (high school), including a half-hour unpaid lunch.
