Make a daily impact as a valued Paraprofessional serving students ranging from middle to high school near Peterborough, NH. Two contract positions are available, supporting inclusive educational environments across both schools for the 2026-2027 academic year.
These roles are designed for compassionate and resourceful professionals prepared to support students requiring individualized attention. One position works one-on-one with an 8th-grade student who is Autistic and nonverbal, fostering connection and growth within a supportive classroom setting. The other supports a small group of high schoolers with IEPs, encouraging engagement and participation alongside their peers in a general education environment.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Background as a Paraprofessional, PCA, or similar role—prior school-based experience is highly valued
- Ability and willingness to assist with toileting, personal care, and supporting academic goals
- Experience supporting students with developmental or behavioral needs, especially Autism or nonverbal communication
- Patience, flexibility, and strong collaborative skills with educators, therapists, and families
- Reliable attendance and commitment from August to June
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized or small-group support during instructional and non-instructional times
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student independence and participation
- Assist with daily living needs and personal care, tailored to each student’s requirements
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams to implement IEPs
- Document student progress and communicate updates to the team
