Make a meaningful impact in the lives of high school students as a dedicated Special Education Teacher serving as a case manager in an engaging educational setting. This contract position focuses on providing essential support and guidance to students in grades 9–12, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals. The district is seeking an experienced professional with a passion for service delivery, paired with expertise in managing special education cases.
Your week can be flexible, with preferred schedule options available:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Special Education
- Experience working with high school students in grades 9–12
- Strong case management background, including developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Serve as a case manager overseeing IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure optimal student outcomes
- Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records—while focusing primarily on direct service delivery
