ND Global Consulting Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

\n

• Every other weekend required

\n

• Holiday rotation required

\n

• No on-call

\n

• Floating required, if needed

\n

\n

Position Requirements

\n

\n
• 1–2+ years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience

\n

• Previous travel nursing experience required

\n

• First-time travelers will not be considered

\n

• EPIC experience required

\n

• Active or conditional Massachusetts RN license

\n

• AHA BLS required

\n

• Flu vaccine required during flu season

\n

• Clinical IVS team interview required

\n

• Candidates may be required to identify cardiac rhythms every 4 hours (Q4)

\n

\n

Unit Information

• Unit: Med Surg 6 North

\n

• Scrub color: Any

\n

• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted; local rate is $8/hour less than the posted rate

\n

• Post-op surgery: General, Orthopedics, GYN, and Vascular procedures

\n

• Common patient conditions include:\n

  • Heart failure

  \n

  • Chest pain

  \n

  • Pneumonia

  \n

  • Cellulitis

  \n

  • Pancreatitis

  \n

  • Alcohol withdrawal

  \n

\n

\n

Clinical Skills / Medications

\n

\n
• Heparin

\n

• TPN

\n

• Lasix

\n

• Cardizem

\n

• Non-titrating drips

\n

• Protocols for all drips

\n

\n

Submission Requirements

\n

\n
• Updated resume clearly documenting Med Surg/Telemetry experience

\n

• Travel experience must be documented on the resume

\n

• 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in the matching specialty

\n

• Specialty-matched skills checklist

\n

• Driver’s license with an address matching the candidate’s demographics

\n

• NURSYS verification report pulled within the last week showing an active or conditional Massachusetts RN license

\n

• NURSYS report must show all current and past licenses

\n

• RTO must be submitted at the time of submission; RTO is not guaranteed after confirmation

\n

\n

Language Skills

• Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole are especially relevant due to the patient population.
