Responsibilities\n

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder.
- Manage dual diagnosis patients, including detoxification and mental health treatment.
- Administer medications using an automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell) and monitor for side effects.
- Complete patient admissions and discharges efficiently.
- Operate IV pumps and provide diabetic care as needed.
- Assume the role of charge nurse when required.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements\n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient adult psych experience.
- Active Massachusetts RN License.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
- Proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and understanding of their side effects.
- Knowledge of Massachusetts Department of Mental Health rules and regulations.
- Understanding of inpatient requirements related to restraint, seclusion, and legal statuses.
- Familiarity with laws pertaining to guardianship, healthcare proxy, and court-ordered medication.
- Availability for rotating shifts and floating as required.
