Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid MA SPED License required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Comfortable developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ IEP goals across a K-12 caseload
- Assess student progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to adjust strategies as needed
- Provide differentiated instruction and behavioral support to ensure each student’s academic and social success
- Maintain thorough records and documentation as required by state and district policies
- Engage in ongoing communication with families and school staff to build a strong support network for students
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings to stay current with best practices
