Step into a rewarding contract position dedicated to supporting elementary students through meaningful special education instruction. From August 2026 through June 2027, you’ll work full-time during the school year, serving across two welcoming schools near Derry, NH. This vital role focuses on providing both teaching and case management for approximately 15 students divided between a grade 2 and a grade 5 caseload.
Your week will be structured Monday through Friday, for 32-37.5 hours. The position emphasizes creating tailored learning experiences, fostering student growth, and collaborating with a strong support network. While most of your time will be spent supporting grade 2 and grade 5 students, you’ll also play a key part in IEP development and closely partner with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-appropriate license required)
- Extensive knowledge of elementary school curriculum and special education best practices
- Experience in case managing IEPs and coordinating services for students with diverse learning needs
- Strong collaborative skills; able to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Comfortable serving students across two locations (travel between schools may be necessary)
- Ability to manage a small caseload and tailor instruction
Key Responsibilities:
