Position Summary:
Assemble and install electrical wiring, conduit, equipment and other apparatus using power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment. Make electrical connection to circuit breakers, switch gear, ground leads, plugs, equipment and other devices.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
Follow company policy and procedures and enforce safety regulations under the direction of a Licensed Electrician
Plan sequence of installation and adjust as needed to meet the construction schedule using knowledge of equipment to avoid obstruction and activities of other construction workers
Maintain accurate time and material records
Cut, thread, bend and assemble PVC, copper, black iron, ductile iron or other materials using hacksaw, pipe-cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine
Perform physically demanding work while working from ladders, scaffolds or on roofs
Work harmoniously, cooperatively and courteously with others at all times
Be willing to respond to emergency situations after hours or occasionally work out of town
Performs miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements:
Hiring Requirement/Preferences:
High school diploma and additional specialized training required
Ability to read and write English
Must have all necessary hand tools
