Company Overview
This client is a well-established vehicle remarketing and processing company operating across multiple locations nationwide. They specialize in the acquisition, inspection, and resale of total-loss and recovered-theft vehicles, serving insurance carriers, dealers, and the general public. Their branch operations are fast-paced, high-volume environments where vehicles are processed daily through a structured intake and documentation workflow. Each branch operates with its own culture and operational rhythm, making adaptability and team fit a key priority for every hire.

- Ability and willingness to work outdoors all day, in all weather conditions year-round (rain, snow, heat, cold) — this is the single most critical requirement
- Physically capable of performing hands-on, labor-intensive work in a demanding outdoor environment
- Strong work ethic with reliable, consistent attendance — punctuality is non-negotiable
- Comfortable using handheld technology for vehicle check-in, photo capture, and data recording
- Genuine team player mentality — able to take direction from peers and leads without ego or resistance
- Adaptable and self-motivated in a high-energy, dynamic setting where priorities can shift quickly
- Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) ready on day one — steel-toe or composite-toe footwear required
Plusses
- Prior experience in the automotive, fleet, or vehicle-related industry
- Previous work in a yard, warehouse, lot, or other outdoor operational environment
- Familiarity with vehicle inspection or processing workflows
- Background in customer-facing roles requiring strong interpersonal skills (food service, retail, etc. — transferable work ethic is valued)
- Comfortable in a high-energy, blue-collar work culture with a strong sense of humor
Day-to-Day
The ideal candidate is a dependable, physically capable individual who thrives in an outdoor, fast-paced environment and takes pride in doing the job right. This person will join a tight-knit yard team and report to the on-site yard supervisor, contributing directly to the daily vehicle processing operations of the branch. Their primary purpose is to ensure vehicles are accurately checked in, documented, and processed in a timely manner — meeting daily targets of approximately 15 to 19 vehicles per day, depending on vehicle type and inspection requirements. Beyond processing, this individual will also assist vehicle owners on-site with retrieving personal belongings, requiring a customer-first mindset and strong interpersonal skills. This role is essential to keeping the branch running smoothly and efficiently, and the right person will be someone who shows up ready to work, takes direction well, and becomes a trusted part of the team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle check-ins daily, meeting processing targets of 15–19 vehicles per day
- Capture detailed documentation and photos of each vehicle using a company-issued handheld device
- Assist vehicle owners on-site with retrieving personal belongings in a professional and courteous manner
- Work collaboratively with yard leads and supervisors to maintain daily operational flow
- Adapt to varying workloads and vehicle types, including those requiring extended inspection services
- Adhere to all on-site safety protocols and branch standards at all times
- Participate in overtime as needed, particularly during high-volume periods (winter months/auction days)
- Maintain a professional, team-first attitude and contribute to a positive branch culture
