Machine Operator — Canton, MA

Machine Operator (D Shift)
Pay: $22–$25/hour + 20% shift differential
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday & alternating Wednesday
Hours: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Location: Canton, MA 02021

Zing Recruiting is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Canton, Massachusetts. The Machine Operator will be responsible for safely operating production equipment, maintaining quality standards, supporting machine setup and changeovers, and ensuring efficient production. Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
Set up, adjust, operate, and clean machinery according to established procedures.
Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
Monitor production processes and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
Safely move, stage, and handle materials using a forklift or other equipment as required.
Follow all company, safety, environmental, and production policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Communicate equipment, quality, safety, and production concerns promptly.
Complete production records, documentation, and other required paperwork accurately.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred or required, depending on the position.
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
Experience in plastics, coating, lamination, printing, extrusion, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
Comfortable operating computerized or touchscreen production equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments.
Willingness to work overtime and adjust schedules as needed.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
