RN - Med-Surg Cardiac Medical Unit
\n
Job Details:
\n
• Work on a 23-bed cardiac medical unit with one additional treatment room
\n • Day shift patient ratios are 1:4 and night shift patient ratios are 1:5
\n • Every other weekend requirement
\n • Care for hemodynamically stable cardiac patients including MI, acute/chronic heart failure, new onset AFib with or without RVR, and stable dysrhythmias
\n • Manage procedural patients including cardiac catheterizations (radial or femoral) without interventions, ablations, cardioversions, ICD, pacers, medication loads, Cardio MEMs, and pericardial drains
\n • Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Diltiazem, renal dose Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix, and insulin drips
\n • Care for additional patient populations including ICU transfers, neuro patients (CVA), and pulmonary patients requiring BiPAP, Hi-flow, and Salter
\n • Utilize telemetry monitoring equipment including both hard-wired and portable systems
\n • Work with equipment including vein finder for IV therapy, portable and continuous pulse oximetry, manual/automatic vital sign machines, blood glucose monitors, mechanical lifts, and dopplers
\n • Document using Allscripts EMR with medication scanning capabilities and soft-lab
\n • Float within alike areas as needed
\n • Cardiac telemetry knowledge required
\n • Strong medical-surgical knowledge and background with telemetry preferred
\n • Knowledge and skill set for cardiac medical, procedural patients, and cardiac drips required
\n • Required certification: ACLS
\n • Hospital scrubs required as dress code
