Position Details
Position Title: HVAC Apprentice
Location: Worcester, MA
Employment Type: Full-time
Hourly Rate: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour
Experience Level: Entry-level (Experience is a plus, but not required; full on-the-job training provided)

Core Responsibilities and Training
As an apprentice, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship to assist our experienced technicians with the following tasks:
System Installation: Learning the proper methods to install mounting brackets, secure heat pumps to mounting systems, and properly install indoor air handlers.
Refrigerant and Line Work: Training in copper flaring techniques, installing refrigerants and line hide, performing standing leak checks using nitrogen, and evacuating and charging systems using proper weighing techniques.
Electrical Work: Assisting with the installation of electrical service disconnects, terminating electrical wires in both the air handler and condensing unit, and working safely within main electrical breaker panels.
System Commissioning: Participating in the startup and final commissioning of new heat pump systems to ensure maximum efficiency.
Valid driver's license
Basic mechanical assembly skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Eagerness to learn the HVAC trade and green energy solutions
5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience, with a focus on ductless mini-split, heat pump, or VRF systems.
Proven leadership experience as a working lead or senior installer responsible for job completion and team quality control.
Strong technical proficiency in mechanical, refrigerant, and electrical systems, including the use of digital gauges, vacuum pumps, and diagnostic tools.
EPA 608 Universal Certification (strongly preferred) and a valid driver"s license with a clean driving record.
