Location: Leominster, MA

Pay: $21.50 - $24.50 per hour

Shift: Night Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking motivated Production Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Leominster, MA. This position begins in the packaging department, where you will assemble and prepare Gaylords and package finished products. As you gain experience, you will have the opportunity to advance to one of four extrusion lines, producing specialized plastic pellets used in a variety of manufacturing applications.

In this role, you will mix materials according to specific formulas, monitor extrusion equipment, and help ensure quality production standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
  • Verify production information, including item numbers, lot numbers, and quantities.
  • Complete production documentation clearly and accurately.
  • Monitor extrusion processes and maintain product quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete required computer-based training and certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or production experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand and perform physical tasks throughout the entire shift.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating extrusion equipment or blending materials.
  • Plastics manufacturing experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.
  • Leadership experience or the ability to take initiative in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fitchburg, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
