Maintenance / Cleaning Associate — Portsmouth, NH
McKinnon’s Market & Super Butcher Shop

McKinnon’s is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to help keep our Portsmouth store clean, safe, and welcoming. If you take pride in your work and enjoy staying active, we’d like to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, and fixtures; replenish supplies.
Operate our floor-cleaning machine and keep equipment clean and properly stored.
Sweep, mop, and clean floors throughout the store.
Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
Clean entrance areas, windows, doors, and frequently touched surfaces.
Keep employee break areas and other common spaces clean.
Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning needs.
Help keep exterior entrances and walkways free of litter.
Assist with basic upkeep and report maintenance issues to management.
Follow safe practices when using cleaning products and equipment.

Qualifications:

Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
Able to work independently and follow instructions.
Comfortable working around customers and employees.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, push cleaning equipment, and lift supplies and trash, with reasonable accommodation.
Cleaning or floor-machine experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right person.
