Travel Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) - Home Health (Days)
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) - Home Health for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA.

Contract Details

  • Days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 8hr days 40hr guarantee
  • Start Date: 8/17/2026
  • Contract: 13 Weeks
  • Location: Pittsfield, MA
  • Hourly Pay: $ 47.50
  • Non-taxed Stipend: $ 1246.00
  • Weekly Total Pay: $ 2671.00
  • Weekend Requirements: Every 4-6 weekends/Holiday Coverage Required if needed
  • Traveler Policy: WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRAVELER WHO RESIDES WITHIN 50 MILES OF FACILITY. To avoid delays in processing, please include perm address at profile upload. CLIENT PREFERS 45 MIN OR LESS COMMUTE FROM TOR OFFICE (165 Tor Ct, Pittsfield, MA 01201)
  • Non-Billable Orientation: 8hrs

**THIS IS A HOME HEALTH NEED!

The speech/language pathologist is responsible for providing speech therapy services to clients of the agency. The primary function is the provision of direct patient care, including collaboration with other team members and participation in the development of the patient’s comprehensive plan of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the physician in evaluating the patient’s level of function. Assesses home environment and identifies equipment needs related to speech/language function.
  • Identifies functional speech deficits and establishes goals and plan of care to improve patient’s function, revising as necessary.
  • Performs and completes admissions, recertifications, resumption-of-care, and discharge Comprehensive OASIS assessments and associated paperwork in accordance to agency policy.
  • Instructs patient and family members, as well as other health team members, in methods of assisting the patient in improving communication skills.
  • Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated.
  • Periodically re-evaluates and upgrades the patient’s program to maximize functional improvement. Records and reports to the patient’s physician the patient’s progress in treatment and any changes in the patient’s condition and plan of care.
  • Confers with the family, referring physician, and other agency professional staff to obtain information to promote coordinated, efficient, and quality patient care.
  • Performs and submits required documentation of patient’s evaluations, plan of care, clinical notes, and progress reports, summaries along with changes in orders. All patient visit notes must be turned in the next scheduled work day, not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours.
  • Maintains necessary statistical and billing data.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in speech pathology practice and theory, contributes to the field through research, presentations, and in-services.
  • Keeps his/her immediate supervisor informed of problem areas and makes suggestions for improvement.
  • Attends and contributes to in-services, clinical records reviews, meetings required to ensure coordinated and comprehensive plans of care for the patients of the agency.
  • Complies with Homecare Agency Compliance Plan.
  • Complies with Homecare Agency’s Infection Control Policies.
  • Complies with Homecare Agency’s HIPAA Policies.

Compensation:

  • Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 2 years minimum SLP Home Care experience
  • Valid Driver License required for this need is required
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/assistance
  • Acute care experience is preferred
  • Master or Doctorate Degree is required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required; Clinical Fellow candidates accepted
  • MA SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST LICENSE is required
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with rehabilitation equipment, including but not limited to, language/communication aids, devices and wheelchairs.
  • Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
