This full-time role (Monday through Friday, 32–37.5 hours per week) is ideal for a Registered Nurse or a highly experienced LPN who is passionate about providing compassionate, specialized care in an educational setting.

In this position, you will make a real difference for a young child with a complex medical history, including severe neonatal HIE, significant neurological impairments, and multifocal epilepsy. As their 1:1 nurse, you’ll be pivotal in fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment and ensuring their health needs are expertly managed during the school day.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active RN license or experienced LPN credentials required
  • Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or 1:1 nursing strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with seizure disorders and related medications such as Keppra and Onfi is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to provide calm, skilled support for medically fragile children
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and medical professionals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver attentive, individualized nursing care, monitoring and responding to evolving health needs
  • Administer medications, document all care activities, and provide seizure precaution management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the student’s educational participation
  • Communicate regularly with both medical providers and family members regarding the student’s care

As the child will be starting soon, your expertise will ensure a smooth transition, providing peace of mind to educators and family alike. There is potential for continued assignment into summer school.

If you’re ready to bring your nursing expertise to a supportive, mission-driven environment, apply today and help shape a positive school experience for a child who needs you most!

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.00 to $53.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
