Associate Scientist - Physical Biochemistry

The Science Team at Russell Tobin and Associates is hiring a "Senior Associate Scientist - (Physical Biochemistry)" for a top leading pharmaceutical organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support reagent and sample organization, documentation, and data reporting workflows
• Track, manage, and optimize storage and distribution of protein reagents across the department
• Perform protein crystallization experiments and/or routine biophysical assays
• Support crystal storage, handling, and shipping logistics
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning through routine checks
• Manage inventory tracking and proactively coordinate ordering of lab supplies
• Contribute to day-to-day laboratory operations and organization
• Uphold laboratory safety standards and best practices
• Communicate experimental progress clearly in both written and verbal format

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry or a related field
• 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience in academic or industry settings
• Experience with protein handling, crystallization workflows, or biophysical assays
• Familiarity with lab inventory systems and sample tracking processes
• Strong organizational skills and proactive approach to lab operations

Additional Details:

• Location: Cambridge, MA
• Position Type: 12-Months Contract
• Pay rate approved: $35-40/hr. on W2 depending on experience

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
