Step into a dynamic full-time contract role as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager, supporting middle and high school students through the 2026–2027 academic year. Located near Walpole, NH, this in-person opportunity centers on guiding students in Life Skills classes and facilitating growth for 8th graders in a Learning Lab environment. Your expertise will ensure students with diverse needs receive individualized instruction and compassionate case management.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience teaching in a middle and/or high school setting
  • Background or familiarity with Life Skills instruction
  • Comfortable managing IEPs and maintaining detailed student records
  • Collaborative approach to working with interdisciplinary teams and families
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Committed to supporting students with varying abilities and backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach four Life Skills classes, focusing on practical academics, social communication, and daily living skills
  • Lead one Self-Directed Instruction (SDI) class for 8th-grade students, fostering independence and academic progress
  • Serve as a case manager, coordinating IEP meetings and goal tracking
  • Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
  • Modify and adapt curriculum as needed for differentiated instruction
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide supportive advocacy for students' educational and personal development
