Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting preschool students as a 1:1 paraprofessional. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in a school environment near Derry, NH, working with a dedicated team from now through June 24, 2027.
As a valued member of the educational community, you’ll be supporting a preschool caseload, providing direct assistance and encouragement to help students thrive daily. Your compassion and ability to adapt will be key as you collaborate closely with teachers and staff to deliver a positive and inclusive learning experience.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous school-based experience required
- High school diploma is a must
- Comfortable working within district environments and protocols
- Reliable transportation and proximity for the commute are essential
- Able to complete district fingerprinting as part of onboarding
- BT (Behavior Technician) candidates strongly preferred; please note, district supervision is not available for RBT
- Ready to handle a 1:1 preschool caseload
- Effective communicator comfortable with 30-minute interview format
- Transparent about skills, experience, and requirements from the outset
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to preschool students in a 1:1 setting
- Implement teacher and therapy team plans to promote development and independence
- Foster a nurturing and safe classroom environment
- Maintain detailed communication with educators, families, and support team
- Adapt strategies to best meet student needs on an ongoing basis
This position offers 32.5 hours per week on a steady, reliable schedule, giving you time to build meaningful connections and advance your expertise.
