This contract opportunity offers a consistent weekly schedule of approximately 32.5 hours, allowing you to make a meaningful difference while honing your skills in a supportive educational setting near North Adams, MA.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience working with children diagnosed with autism, particularly in educational settings
- Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies, data collection, and behavior shaping techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, therapists, and families
- Patience, empathy, and a growth mindset to foster student progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to a student with autism, helping shape and reinforce appropriate behaviors in a K-1 classroom
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collect, record, and report behavioral data accurately and efficiently
- Communicate observations and progress to classroom staff and supervisors
- Assist in creating a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning
