Join our dynamic team at RegalCare at Sudbury as an Activities Assistant, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents through engaging activities and fostering a sense of community. As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional care, we are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and patient individual to join our Activities Department.
About the Role:
As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing activities designed to meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents. Your role will focus on creating a positive and engaging environment, promoting socialization, and encouraging participation in various activities such as games, crafts, music, and more.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement activity programs tailored to meet the needs and interests of our residents, including planning and scheduling of activities, outings, and events
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to identify and address the needs of our residents, including assessing their skills, abilities, and interests
• Build strong relationships with our residents, families, and caregivers to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation
• Assist with event planning, setup, and cleanup as needed
• Participate in community outreach and partnership initiatives to enhance the overall experience for our residents
Requirements:
• 0 years of experience, with a passion for working with seniors and a desire to make a difference in their lives
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., recreation therapy, gerontology) or certifications in activities (e.g., Activities Director) welcomed
