What You'll Do
As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide specialized instruction and develop educational plans that support students academically, socially, and behaviorally. Working closely with families and school staff, you'll help ensure students receive the resources and accommodations they need to succeed.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
Special Education Teacher licenses / certifications in the state of Massachusetts
Classroom experience
Ability to provide specialized instruction
Primary Responsibilities
Design and implement individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP
Monitor academic and behavioral progress while adjusting instructional strategies as needed
Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
Support students in developing independence, confidence, and life skills
Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal special education requirements
Position Highlights
No nights, weekends, or holidays
Full time- 35 - 37.5 hours
