Location: Falmouth, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week

Shifts: Mixed Days & Evenings

  • Day: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Evening: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Every other weekend
  • Rotating holidays

Compensation

Travel Gross Weekly: $1,200 – $1,280/week, based on experience

Local Pay: $28 – $32/hour, based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential personal care and support to patients/residents. The CNA will assist nursing staff with basic care activities while promoting patient comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients/residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, and other personal care needs.
  • Take and accurately record vital signs.
  • Complete Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Respond to call lights and assist with patient needs.
  • Assist with toileting, oral care, nail care, and catheter care.
  • Assist patients using wheelchairs and provide transportation as needed.
  • Reposition and turn bedridden patients to promote comfort and prevent complications.
  • Observe and report changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate nursing staff.
  • Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.
  • Change bed linens as needed.
  • Assist with basic equipment and supply sanitation according to established procedures.
  • Prepare food trays and assist patients with feeding.
  • Accurately document food and fluid intake and output.
  • Provide basic and uncomplicated patient care within the scope of CNA certification and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with maintaining patient comfort and personal appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient/resident care information, including protected health information (PHI).
  • Report known or suspected incidents involving unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.
  • Respect and uphold patient/resident rights.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a 10th-grade education.
  • Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in accordance with Massachusetts requirements.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to make appropriate independent decisions when circumstances require.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with patients/residents, families, visitors, healthcare personnel, government representatives, and the general public.
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Compassionate, patient, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients/residents who may have challenging behaviors or care needs.
  • Willingness to learn and incorporate new methods, procedures, and nursing practices.
  • Ability to communicate relevant information regarding a patient's/resident's condition.
  • Must be able to meet workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and meet the physical and sensory requirements of the position.
