Make a meaningful difference in supporting student well-being as a Virtual School Counselor, offering short-term 1:1 counseling to a 5th grade male student. Sessions are conducted remotely, offering flexibility and the chance to tailor your approach to the student’s unique needs.
What we’re seeking:
- Licensed or certified school counselor with experience in elementary or middle school settings
- Strong background in delivering individualized counseling services, particularly for students requiring additional support
- Experience conducting virtual counseling sessions
- Comfort with flexible scheduling and collaborating with a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide documentation of services
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering weekly 1:1 virtual counseling sessions (1 hour direct service; additional indirect time as needed)
- Supporting the student’s social, emotional, and academic well-being during a period of transition
- Collaborating with district staff and other service providers to develop strategies for student support
- Documenting student progress and providing feedback to the appropriate school personnel
- Adjusting support as needed, with the understanding that assignment duration (approximately a few weeks up to a month) may shift as placement plans progress
