From your first shift, you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with experts who care about precision and mentorship. You’ll master how to choose the right belt grit and wheel durometer, how to measure and correct stock removal, and how to bring out a consistent finish on complex geometries.

Core Impact

• Shape consistent outside radii using air-driven tools.
• Enhance micro-finishes in fillet radii and airfoil regions; eliminate cutter marks with deburring and finishing wheels.
• Remove machine tool marks and belt scratches; repair blends on platforms, shrouds, radii, and airfoils.
• Inspect thickness with gauges; fix oversize conditions as specified; balance blends, material removal, and finish quality via correct wheels and grits.
• Correct oversize/undersize issues; relocate radii on existing airfoils; excel on small parts and areas that are difficult to belt.
• Stage and set up polishing equipment with the appropriate belts and wheels; read gauges precisely; apply basic math to confirm conformance.

What You Need

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use hand tools and pneumatic tools.
• Competence in basic mathematics and interpreting gauge readings.
• Proficiencies: Troubleshooting skills, hand tools, maintenance experience, manufacturing, mechanical experience.
