Minimum 1+ years Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience and CNA certificate required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A unique opportunity is available for a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential support within a school setting. This full-time position offers a consistent weekday schedule totaling 32.5 hours per week, and is designed as a short-term coverage assignment beginning in September and lasting through November—with the possibility of extension for the full academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with a kindergarten student who has significant medical needs and uses a wheelchair
- Assist with daily living activities, medical monitoring, mobility, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with teaching staff, school nurses, and related service providers to ensure the student's well-being, safety, and full educational inclusion
- Document care and communicate health updates to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach in a dynamic school environment
Qualifications:
- Active CNA certification
- Previous experience as a CNA (experience with pediatric or school-based settings preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated skill in providing care to individuals with high medical needs and mobility challenges
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, families, and school staff
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability for the school environment
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
