Discover an exciting opportunity to support the health and education of high school students as a contract LPN/LVN. This position focuses on 1:1 care, providing direct nursing services to a female student in a school setting. The role requires confidence in administering tube feeds and managing flushes/blowouts, ensuring student safety and well-being during the school day.
This role is ideal for a compassionate nurse or CNA who thrives in a school environment and enjoys making a difference in daily student life. The position is conveniently scheduled for 32 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, allowing for a routine workday and work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
- Current LPN/LVN license or CNA certification (CNA candidates will be considered)
- Experience in school health services, pediatric, or 1:1 care is preferred
- Proficiency in performing tube feeding and related medical procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families
- Reliable, caring, and able to work independently within school guidelines
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care including tube feeds and routine flushes/blowouts
- Monitor and document the student’s health status and report any concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with school policy
- Communicate effectively with the student, educators, and parents to coordinate care
- Contribute to a positive and safe school environment
