Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher (SPED) certification in Massachusetts required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and specialized instructional strategies
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with colleagues, parents, and support staff
- Ability to cultivate positive relationships and create an inclusive classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Modify curriculum and instructional techniques to best meet individual student needs
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt strategies as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to provide comprehensive support
- Foster an encouraging, accepting classroom environment where every student can thrive
This position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, working with elementary students.
