Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher (SPED) certification in Massachusetts required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and specialized instructional strategies
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with colleagues, parents, and support staff
• Ability to cultivate positive relationships and create an inclusive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Modify curriculum and instructional techniques to best meet individual student needs
• Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt strategies as needed
• Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to provide comprehensive support
• Foster an encouraging, accepting classroom environment where every student can thrive

This position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, working with elementary students.
