Assistant General Manager Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80,000–$90,000

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of a high-volume restaurant operation
  • Lead daily shifts with a focus on exceptional guest experiences and service excellence
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop hourly team members
  • Help create a culture of accountability, hospitality, and continuous improvement
  • Drive guest engagement, community involvement, and repeat business
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, beverage execution, cleanliness, and overall operational excellence
  • Assist with labor management, scheduling, inventory, cost controls, and financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, ownership, and leadership teams to support operational goals and growth initiatives

Assistant General Manager Qualifications

  • Proven success as an Assistant General Manager or senior restaurant manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge with a commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
  • Background in independent or chef-driven restaurant concepts preferred
  • Understanding of P&L management, labor controls, and restaurant financials
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • ServSafe and TIPS certifications required
