Entry-Level Restoration Technician (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Boston – North & South Shore Pay: $20.00/hour during 3‐month temp period → $25.00/hour upon permanent hire

Position Summary

This is an entry-level role designed for individuals who bring excellent attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to learn. We hire for character first — everything else we train.

You’ll learn the restoration industry from the ground up, including mitigation, cleanup, demolition, equipment setup, documentation, and basic reconstruction tasks. The position begins as a 3‐month temporary training period at $20/hr. After successful completion, you transition to a full-time permanent role at $25/hr with full benefits and a clear career path.

Rotating on-call availability is required after training.

Key Responsibilities

Mitigation & Remediation

• Assist senior technicians on water, mold, smoke, and fire jobs
• Perform demolition, debris removal, cleaning, containment setup, and equipment placement
• Support odor control, air filtration, and basic remediation tasks
• Take photos, readings, and notes for job documentation

Reconstruction Support

• Assist with basic rebuild tasks such as:
• • Drywall patching
  • Insulation replacement
  • Trim/baseboard installation
  • Painting and finish work
• Prepare job sites, stage materials, and maintain cleanliness

General Responsibilities

• Provide professional, respectful customer service
• Maintain jobsite safety and follow company protocols
• Keep work vehicles clean, stocked, and organized
• Follow instructions from lead technicians and project managers

Qualifications

• Clean driving record (required)
• Construction, demolition, or general labor experience (preferred, not required)
• No restoration experience required — full training provided
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor for extended periods
• Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn
• Must pass background check and driving record screening
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites

Physical Requirements

• Lift 50 lbs. regularly (up to 100 lbs. with assistance)
• Work on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas
• Stand, bend, walk, and perform physical labor for prolonged periods
• Comfortable with repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and demolition tasks
