Job Details:
\n
• Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical Intensive Care Unit
\n• Patient ratios vary based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/devices 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown 1:3-4
\n• Day and night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
\n• Required to work every third weekend with no on-call responsibilities
\n• Must be proficient with telemetry monitoring - PCU level experience or greater required
\n• Experience with critical drips and ventilators preferred
\n• Prior ICU experience preferred
\n• Must be organized and easily adaptable
\n• Perform and assist with procedures including pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
\n• Operate equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair Hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP
\n• Use Sunrise EMR system
\n• Float to Progressive Care unit as needed
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
\n• Must have active New Hampshire nursing license in hand prior to submission
