By working closely with a small group of 5th and 6th grade students in an intensive needs/life skills program, you’ll build meaningful connections and play a pivotal role in each student’s journey.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain in NH)
- Experience or strong interest in life skills/intensive needs settings
- Commitment to individualized education planning and progress monitoring
- Ability to manage a small, focused caseload (3 students)
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the dedicated case manager and special education teacher for 5th/6th grade life skills students
- Develop, implement, and review IEPs to ensure student growth
- Foster a nurturing, responsive classroom environment
- Collaborate closely with support staff, families, and other educators
- Track progress and adapt strategies to meet student needs
