By working closely with a small group of 5th and 6th grade students in an intensive needs/life skills program, you’ll build meaningful connections and play a pivotal role in each student’s journey.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain in NH)
  • Experience or strong interest in life skills/intensive needs settings
  • Commitment to individualized education planning and progress monitoring
  • Ability to manage a small, focused caseload (3 students)
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the dedicated case manager and special education teacher for 5th/6th grade life skills students
  • Develop, implement, and review IEPs to ensure student growth
  • Foster a nurturing, responsive classroom environment
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, families, and other educators
  • Track progress and adapt strategies to meet student needs
