Make a meaningful impact supporting middle and high school students by utilizing your expertise as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager. This full-time, in-person contract opportunity spans the entire 2026–2027 school year and centers on delivering Life Skills instruction and case management to students in a supportive educational environment.
You’ll have the chance to teach four Life Skills classes, in addition to leading an 8th-grade Learning Lab focused on specially designed instruction (SDI). The role also includes case management duties, ensuring that each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) is implemented with care and diligence.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a special education environment, especially with Life Skills or SDI programs
- Deep understanding of case management for special education, including IEP development and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with students, families, and educational teams
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach four Life Skills classes tailored to a variety of learning needs at the middle and high school levels
- Deliver engaging instruction for one 8th-grade Learning Lab (SDI)
- Serve as a case manager, guiding IEP meetings, tracking student progress, and collaborating with staff and families
- Adapt curriculum to support differentiated learning and promote student success
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school team meetings
