Travel Registered Nurse (RN)- OR - Scrub/Circulate (Days)
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)- OR - Scrub/Circulate for a 13-week travel assignment in Windsor, VT.
Contract Details

• Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 4 8hrs days per week. 32hr guarantee

• Hourly Pay: $ 31.00
  
• Non-taxed Stipend: $ 1246.00
  
• Weekly Total Pay: $ 1990.00
  
• Weekend Requirements: Weekend call - 1 Weekends per month. Call back time is ONE HOUR
  
• On Call Requirements: Weekday call is 2-3 days/week. Call back time is ONE HOUR
  
• EMR: Cerner
  
• Dress code: Hospital provided scrubs
  
• Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
  
• Traveler Policy: Those who reside within 50 miles of the facility - are not eligible for this need. Perm address must be included in traveler profile
  
• Non-billable orientation: 8hrs

** Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).

** Any/All RTO must be included in profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION. Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer. Please obtain this information prior to submittal. Requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer; After 3 call offs, a traveler's contract will be eligible for termination due to lack of attendance at Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center's discretion Each call off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance

** Travelers may not take all holidays off. MUST work TWO blocks (if scheduled/needed):

Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after

Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after

New Year Eve through New Year Day and weekend after

The Clinical Nurse is a key member of the surgical team who functions in a circulating and scrubbing capacity. Services lines we provide include: General surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain and endoscopy procedures. Our nurses provide specialized care for all these services.

The Surgical Services department has 2 operating rooms and a procedure room. We provide mostly outpatient procedures with limited inpatient. We provide care to patients ages 16 and older.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
  
• Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist.
  
• Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to: ADL retraining; therapeutic activities; therapeutic exercises; modalities; use of supportive and assistive devices; etc. Under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist.
  
• Assesses patient’s progress and communicates with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
  
• Reports effectiveness of treatment outcomes to supervising Occupational Therapist.
  
• Provides consultation and to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the cognitive and/or physical disorders.
  
• Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
  
• Provides input to supervisor for discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
  
• Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy.
  
• Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements.
  
• Participation in required meetings including but not limited to: patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, etc.
  
• Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services and conferences.
  
• Able to work with supervising Occupational Therapist to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
  
• Able to supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
  
• Adherence to NBCOT / AOTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics during professional practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
  
• Active State Licensure/Registration when applicable.
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have minimum 2-5 year of experience
  
• Scrubbing and Circulating experience; both specialty skill checklists MUST be in profile to move forward with presenting to client
  
• Must have experience working in a smaller OR facility
  
• Must have Phase I/PACU experience
  
• Must have CERNER EMR EXPERIENCE
  
• Travel experience is highly preferred
  
• BSN preferred
  
• Must have MULTIPLE SURGICAL EXPERIENCE
  
• This is a small community without public transport. Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
  
• Must have ACLS (AHA) certification
  
• Must have Vermont RN License; Compact Allowed
  
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  
• Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
