Job DescriptionPosition: Assembler Location: Londonderry, New HampshireSchedule: Full time position. A four-month 9/80 work schedule (a two-workweek schedule consisting of eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and one scheduled day off). Assembler Job Summary: This Assembler is responsible for all aspects of assembly and preparation for shipment of all product lines as well as the electronic documentation of the assembly. In addition, this position is responsible for adhering to all safety rules and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment, while ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including the shop area. This position reports to the Production and Logistics Manager. Primary Duties and Responsibilities AssemblyAssemble and disassemble low and high-speed sanitary mixing equipmentUse precision measuring equipment to inspect all components for proper fitInstall bearings, lip seals, and O-ringsWork with mechanical sealsRead blueprintsStraighten shafts to toleranceTest all equipment prior to shippingWire electric motorsTest for temperature Complete Assembly Test and Inspection DocumentationCheck all equipment for proper components per the work ticket, Order Detail Sheet, and Final DrawingRebuild customer equipment per the Work Ticket, Order Detail Sheet, and Final DrawingPerform other duties as assigned SafetyEnsure and maintain overall shop area in clean and safe conditionWear protective equipment when requiredComplete fork truck safety class Secondary Duties and Responsibilities CratingBuild crates for shipping equipmentOperate radial arm, circular, and panel style sawsOperate pneumatic nailers and staplersProperly package and prepare goods for shipmentRMA Perform complete disassembly and inspection of returned customer equipmentComplete all Disassembly and Inspection DocumentationComplete RMA Inspection Notes within Tab 7 of the Sales Order upon completion of inspectionPhotograph equipment damage and overall equipment condition to support the Aftermarket Team in the repair quoting process Laser markingOperate the fiber watt laser to mark equipment according to Work Ticket instructions Quality AssuranceAdhere to all written assembly procedures Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong mechanical aptitudeExperience with tight tolerance manufacturingBasic electrical knowledgeComputer knowledgeOperation of overhead hoistsAbility to work in a team environment and perform various functions as directed by the Production and Logistics ManagerExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and take initiative as needed to accomplish goalsTeam player with a "can do" attitude, flexibility, and adaptabilityDemonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues and co-workers, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive diverse team environment Ability to project a positive and professional demeanor and approach Credentials and ExperienceMinimum high school diplomaExperience with large mechanical assemblies preferredContinuous Improvement Special RequirementsSelf-motivatedAttention to detailAbility to lift 50 LbsAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time on factory floor Support and participate in cross-functional projects with department colleagues and other departments Training and Development6S standardsLean manufacturing practicesAdmix is an equal opportunity employer.
