Job Overview:
Seeking a skilled Refrigeration/HVAC Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role involves hands-on mechanical work, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, customer interaction, and on-call support.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including compressors, motors, ductwork, and related components.
- Use diagnostic equipment, gauges, power tools, and hand tools to identify and resolve system issues.
- Read blueprints and schematics, test systems for leaks and defects, and perform repairs or component replacements.
- Maintain service records, follow refrigerant handling and safety regulations, and participate in an on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications:
- knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency with power and hand tools and ability to follow technical instructions.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- OSHA 10 or 30.
- NFPA 51B Hot Work certification.
- MA or RI Refrigeration License.
