Job DescriptionJob Title: Lab Technician Location: North Kingstown, RI Hours/Schedule: Tues – Fri 11am-7pm Type: 3 Months Contract Pay: $18-20/hour Overview: Our client, a growing food microbiology lab, is looking to bring on someone eager to gain hands-on lab experience and develop their skills. - Prepare and analyze samples using standard techniques
- Record, calculate, and report data
- Perform routine instrument maintenance
- Wash glassware and keep work area clean
- Aliquot and weigh samples
- Train on advanced instruments
- Follow EHS and QA standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Chemistry coursework a plus)
- Basic lab or production experience preferred
- Aseptic experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (samples packed in ice)
- Strong time management and quality focus
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Willingness to learn
