- This role works with animals and they will need to be comfortable with handling mice, guinea pigs, etc.
- Position pays $24.00/hr.
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Friday (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

No research experience or degree necessary; must have experience handling animals in a work setting (pet store, animal hospital, farms/ranches, zoo/aquarium, Wildlife Rehabilitation Centers)

POSITION SUMMARY
\n
Perform various laboratory procedures in compliance with cGMP regulations for nonclinical research studies.
\n
\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n
- \n
- Animal Care & Dosing: Administer test articles/substances, observe physical health signs, record study data, and prepare/autoclave cages and animal tags.
- Study Preparation & Materials: Prepare data forms, assist with test agent formulation, maintain dosage equipment, and manage inventory for specialized supplies (e.g., blood collection tubes).
- Data Management & Quality: Record study parameters according to protocol, generate data summaries, and ensure raw data records are complete, accurate, and cGMP-compliant.
- Coordination & Operations: Collaborate with project managers and technical staff, provide hands-on technical support, assist in coordinating departmental activities, and maintain proficiency in all departmental SOPs.

QUALIFICATIONS
\n

- Education: Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) in Biological Sciences or a related discipline required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 1–2 years of related technical laboratory experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Certifications: ALAT certification preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
\n

- Physical Requirements: Frequently required to remain stationary during lab tasks, operate equipment, and move around the facility. Must regularly lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Safety & PPE: Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing.
- Environment: Active research setting involving sharp objects, mechanical equipment, fumes, caustic/toxic chemicals, biological samples, and potential exposure to zoonotic hazards. Noise levels range from low to moderate.
